Qabalah Pathworkings - Stepping Stones to the Soul

The most exciting thing for me about studying Qabalah and the Tree of Life is the way the teachings got me thinking about things that had never previously crossed my mind. It's not until something is brought to your attention that you know it exists and this ancient wisdom has taught me so much about myself. The first six paths begin at the base of the Tree of Life. They are totally focused on aspects of the personality providing insights into how to transform negative traits with the purpose of making us a more suitable vehicle for the soul to work through.

'Gifts of the Universe'

'Gifts of the Universe' is a guided meditation designed to help you clarify what you 'want' and 'need' in life. It forms part of the teachings that relate to the sephirah Malkuth on the Tree of Life and can be found in the Practical Qabalah Malkuth workbook which is available from The Order of the White Lion website.

Remember the Inner Child

How often do you think about the Inner Child? When I first started exploring my deeper feelings, I never gave a thought to my inner child. It was when I reached the sephirah Netzach, on the Tree of Life, that the focus was turned to the needs of the inner child and it proved to be a really cathartic stage in getting to know myself.

The Universe Will Provide ....

That well known saying "the Universe will provide" is very true. Our job is to make sure we recognise these opportunities and do something with them.

Time for Change?

As the current year comes to a close and a new one comes into force many people take this time to reassess and take stock of everything that is happening (or not happening) in their life. It’s easy to get swept along with preparations for the festive season and the hype and ‘busyness’ of it all. Then once the celebrations are over, and the decorations have come down, it’s back to normality and facing the stark reality of what ‘normal’ is. It can all seem a little flat. 

Do You Believe in Karma?

Do you believe in karma? The topic of karma was not something I had previously thought much about before I began studying Qabalah and the Tree of Life. But the more I looked into the concept of karma the more I realised that actually - for me - it made a lot of sense. I think that karma is generally considered to be a sort of punishment and therefore it can make us feel uncomfortable to think about. My understanding of karma and karmic conditions has changed, and grown, since I first began my own personal spiritual journey and although it often feels like 'tough love' I feel I would rather know what I need to pay attention to in my life, than not.

On the Tree of Life Malkuth is often referred to as the Gateway to hidden dimensions. It is the entrance and starting point to all other paths and temples and the place where all journeys conclude. For it represents the physical plane and the return to the world of matter.

Relaunch of The Order of the White Lion website

In memory of Jenni Shell 29th January 1941 - 29th January 2017

In 1981 Jenni founded Maat - a Mystery and later Qabalah school - designed to inspire individuals to put into practise their life as personality, soul and spirit beyond any rigid perspective.  Well over 6,000 people from all walks of life attended and had the chance to work closely with this powerful, down to earth and modest teacher.

Maat was named after the Egyptian Goddess of Truth and Justice.  The school ran for 25 years and was the forerunner for The Order of the White Lion.

In November 2005, when the last of the groups finished their training, the doors of Maat closed, and The Order of the White Lion took its place.  The Order of the White Lion was first launched in the Spring Equinox of 2002.

Today - on the anniversary of her passing - and to celebrate Jenni’s life’s work, we are excited to announce the relaunch of The Order of the White Lion website (O.W.L)

Explore the Magic and Mystery of Tree of Life

Fate or Destiny?

What is the difference between Fate and Destiny?  

Qabalah teaches us that Destiny is what we are destined to do this lifetime whether we are consciously aware of it or not.  It is what we have decided for ourselves before we are born, and the path we have chosen to walk this incarnation.  Destiny could be described as our own personal star; our own personal sun around which our life revolves.  It is the direction our soul is guiding us towards and for that to happen we must be a willing vehicle.

So, if Destiny is what we are here on earth to achieve .... what then, is Fate?  And what happens if the personality is not a willing vehicle?

Everything in Universe is Energy .....

Qabalah teaches us that everything in the universe is a form of energy, and all energy belongs to the universe.  

Angels, archangels and elemental beings are also energy. Over the aeons of time - to help identify and relate to them - man has built imagery around them. 

The first step that begins the process of studying the practical Qabalah takes place at the base of the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life is our way of making sense of life and the universe. The Qabalah teachings are mapped out on the Tree of Life making it an invaluable tool for spiritual direction and personal growth. Malkuth is the sphere that is situated at the base. It is known as The Kingdom and can easily be recognised - when looking at a picture of the Tree of Life - by the four colours: ochre, russet red, olive green and black.  

In guided meditation the journey begins with an introduction to the 4 Worlds of Existence, the Elemental Kingdoms, the Archangels and Angelic Hosts, and reveals how we can connect more easily with their energy.  

The Tree of Life consists of many levels. There are worlds within worlds. Each area is overseen by an Archangel and supported by the angelic hosts. 

The Archangel of Malkuth - also known as the Guardian of Humanity - is Sandalphon. 

Inside the ancient oak Temple of Malkuth the Archangel Sandalphon waits to reveal to you a drawing board upon which the design behind our existence and physical manifestation is laid out - the design of the Great Plan for Humanity.

As you venture deeper into the Tree of Life and study other areas, you will be introduced to more aspects of energy, and offered insights into how to apply the teachings in a practical way to help with daily issues. 

The sphere of Malkuth focuses on physical and material energy, including money. The teachings enable the individual to examine how they handle the energy of the physical plane.

The next sephirah to explore is Yesod. The teachings of Yesod raise awareness of the power of the subconscious mind and how it influences emotional energy. Yesod can be identified on the Tree of Life by the colour violet and number 9.

The Temple of Yesod is a beautiful Sea Temple.  

This sephirah focuses on the Power of our Subconscious, our emotional foundation and emotional stability.
